7 THINGS TO DO IF YOUR PHONE KEEPS RESTARTING

7 THINGS TO DO IF YOUR PHONE KEEPS RESTARTING

many mobile users have been noted to have complains of phone that keeps restarting. There are several obvious reasons as to why your phone may keep restarting. I have taken some some time to explain some of the common reasons below and instructions you can adhere to fix such bug.

1. UNINSTALL NEW APPLICATION

Many mobile gadget users gets a timeless phone restarting bug the moment they install new applications that are partially or not compatible with their devices.Sometimes times they may erroneously attribute it to having installed a virus infected application. But that may not always be the case. The possible solution is to do away or undo installation to get rid of the installed files. If you are a java phone user, and you have an antivirus installed , then you should completely uninstall it 'cus it is totally needless.

2. DO AWAY WITH OLD SIM

Yes! you may have to do away with that old SIM on your mobile and learn how to make a replacement for that. Do this after you must have tried putting away that old SIM for like days to examine the performance of your phones. If the Old SIM happens to be the reason why your phone keeps restarting, then do a welcome back.

3. FORMATTING YOUR DEVICE

The next resort after the 2 mentioned steps above is to format your Mobile device .Formatting helps to do away with all foreign objects and files that are malicious and harmful to your device. Dial *#7370# on your home screen and next, enter lock code. Don't forget to back up all files and folder and contacts stored in your phone or else you may end up loosing them.

4. SCAN YOUR PHONE WITH ANTIVIRUS

Do a thorough scan of all files and folder on your mobile drives if you have to. You can scan them with your antivirus on PC.

5. KEEP PHONE AWAY FROM EXTREME TEMPERATURE

Exposure to extreme conditions (for instance, exposure to the sun for long hours) can make an electronic device reboot. In addition to that, it is 'unhealthy' for the battery.

6. VISIT A QUALIFIED MOBILE TECHNICIAN

After all these steps above then you can assert is sure is for sure a hardware issue. If everything fails, it is more likely to be a hardware problem. In this case, you have to take your device to a near Nokia Care point. Remember to bring your warranty proof with you.

7. UPGRADE YOUR DEVICE FIRMWARES

Updating your firmware resolves any issues that may be found in current firmware version as well as it keeps your device updated and fixes a lot of bug. Many phones respond positively to firmware upgrade and trust me, it works like Magic. But you should only do this after the above steps must have proved abortive.
HAVE FUN!!!

TROUBLESHOOT NO GATEWAY REPLY ON YOUR NOKIA

ave you been trying to connect to the internet through a WLAN network and all you get is a fustrating "No Gate way" reply? Well i think I have some goodies for you.
Just try the following solutions given below to trouble shoot all that crap and get connected. Sure these will make things okay.

ADD YOUR PHONES MAC ADDRESS

1. Take some time to check properly to see if MAC address filtering is enabled on the router you are trying to connect to. Sometimes routers are set to filter Mac address from certain devices. your Mac address is what makes your device unique from another connecting device. if it is, you will need to add the MAC address of your phone to the "allowed" list.
Now the Big question is how do Iknow my Phones MAC address and how do I add it? Not to worry, Just Use the code *#62209526# to get your NOKIA phone MAC address.

CHECK FOR SUBNET MASK, DEFAULT GATEWAY AND DNS SERVERS

2.Click on Start>Run and type ipconfig/all on the laptop the router is connected to and pen down the settings for the following:
a) Subnet Mask
b) Default Gateway
c) DNS Servers
Now switch over to your mobile Phone
Go to Menu>tools>settings>connection>access points. Select your WLAN access point and go to Advanced settings then IPv4 settings.

WHAT'S MY PHONE IP ADDRESS?

Knowing your phone IP address as using the Default Gateway IP and alter the last number to whatever. You should take note as not to use the same IP with that of the Gateway IP of your COmputer.
For Subnet mask and Default gateway use the same with the one on your computer/PC For DNS address: Change to user defined and enter same settings as on PC

CHECK ROUTER FIRMWARE UPDATES

3. Check for firmware updates for your router and install if there is one.
4. Check or try a different channel settings on your router if you have to.
5. Disable WirelessLAN Power saving mode. To do this, goto Tools>Settings>Connection>Wireless LAN>Options>Advanced settings>Automatic configuration>change>Power saving, set this to disabled.
6. Disabling QOS (Quality of Service) has been known to trobleshoot this issue on some routers.

BBM DP Not Changing? Try This Solution

I used to think there is no big deal in BBM display pictures not changing not until it happened to me. My bbm dp refused to change for two weeks. It got me so worried because it wasn't a general problem. All my friends that are also using Glo BIS were not affected at all and I kept on wondering why is my bbm picture not changing?

I rebooted the blackberry several times, removed the battery, removed the dp and everything..but no success. I even added myself to my BBM contacts so I can monitor my dp. I noticed that BBM status will change while my dp won't change on bbm. When I became so fed up,I decided to google the problem to see if I can get a solution.

After googling it, I saw series of forum threads related to the problem. I browsed through and saw different suggestions. While some claim it is just a temporary problem, some suggested bbm should be deleted and re-installed via www.blackberry.com/bbm instead of through the BB AppWorld.

I tried to delete the BBM and I was surprised not to see the "delete" option after right-clicking on the BBM icon nor see "Blackberry Messenger" listed under "Application Management" ( Options>Device>Application Management).

At this point, it became so obvious that my BBM is corrupt. So, I decided to upgrade the BBM via Blackberry AppWorld. I upgraded to the latest version of BBM and restarted my BB. I changed my BBM dp and it worked! Honestly, I felt so happy.

NB: You might receive some broadcasts eg "Display pictures will not change unless you broadcast this message: having the code:REP#26356". Please, ignore such silly BCs. They are crap.

Have you experienced this kind of problem before or your dp is currently not showing on your bbm?

Does Whatsapp Supports Nokia Asha Dual SIM Phones?

The day Nokia Nigeria announced Nokia Asha 210 on facebook, many fans were so curious to know if Whatsapp s40 messenger now works on dual-SIM Nokia phones. Unfortunately, Nokia replied the comments, telling the fans that Whatsapp messenger does not support dual SIM phones.

So, if you love chatting with Whatsapp, consider buying a single SIM Nokia Asha phone when next you are shopping for a cheap Nokia s40 phone.

I stated the same fact when I explained why whatsapp is not working on Nokia Asha 202. It is the same reason why Whatsapp is also not working on my Nokia Asha 205; the Nokia phone with Facebook button.

Right now, I am anxiously waiting for the Nokia phone with Whatsapp button to get to the Nigerian phone market.

NOTE: Whatsapp chat messenger also do not support tablets, computers, or Wi-Fi only devices, and do not plan to do so in the foreseeable future. You can check out the list of Nokia s40 Whatsapp compatible phones here.

Is Whatsapp not working on your phone? Please, let me hear from you via comments.
