5 Pakistani Oil Workers, And Others Regain Freedom in Bayelsa after Paying N2million Ransom

Five Pakistani Foreign Oil workers and the Wife of the Retired Bayelsa Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Anne Ziworitin has regained their freedom from kidnappers in the State.

While the abducted Pakistani were released at 2pm on wednesday into the custody of the Former Secretary-General of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC),Comrade  Eradiri by the abductors, the abducted Retired Director State primary School Board, Mrs Anne Ziworitin,  was dropped off on her street along the Otitio road in the State capital after an alleged payment of N2million ransom to the kidnappers.

Brimtime gathered that the five Pakistani Oil workers,identified as Rashid Igbal, Wajid Muhammad , Waqas Admed, Mushtag Admed and Mujtaba Ghlum Muhammad and workers of an Oil Servicing Company, Metrix Energy,were released by the former Secretary General of the Ijaw Youth Council IYC comrade Udengs Eradiri and other members of the IYC.

Speaking on arrival at the office of the State Security Service (SSS) in Yenagoa, the Leader of the Pakistani team, Mujtaba Ghlum Muhammad claimed they were kidnapped along the Akassa area of Brass Local Government Council Area.He said the kidnappers were Five and came in a speed boat.

Meanwhile, the abducted Retired Director, Mrs Anne Ziworitin, was released on Monday evening after spending about Eight days in the kidnappers den.
